Citing Sources
Citing sources & bibliographies... what do those words even mean?
Cite Sources = to give credit to the person who wrote the book or website
Citation includes:
author's name
title
publisher
place of publication
copyright date
format (book, website, magazine, etc.)
Bibliography = list of books and websites you used in your research. It's also called the Citation Page.
Why is it important?
1. Gives the reader a way to find more information about your topic.
2. Gives credit for the hard work that writers and researchers have done.
3. Makes sure you don't plagiarize.
